Ra Ra Riot: Better Than Ever

New York, April 5th.
About 5 months after their show at Music Hall of Williamsburg/Bowery Ballroom, Ra Ra Riot took it to another level and played the prestigious Webster Hall. Nothing in the world would have made me miss that show!
I got to Webster Hall at around 8pm and the venue was PACKED. I’ve seen Webster Hall packed but this time was ten times more packed than it’s ever been. I sneaked into the crowd and found a decent spot shot (thanks to Webster Hall for not having a pit).
But the people kept coming in and 20 minutes later I was just submerged by hundreds of people jumping and screaming, and as soon as Ra Ra Riot got on stage they all sticked their cameras out of their pockets and started shooting. I cursed at Webster Hall for not having a pit (in my head of course) and tried to get decent shots, which happened to be quite the task. Here’s an example:
Ra Ra Riot was amazing, don’t get me wrong on this. They played a really energetic set, quite different from the show I had seen 5 months earlier! I can’t wait to see what’s next for the Syracuse band!
