New York, November 1 - It’s certainly not coincidence if the following summary of my CMJ Festival happens to be posted the very same day that New York’s Marathon was ran. It’s been one week now that the madness is over. 1 Week is precisely the time you need to recover from one of the most intense Music Marathon of the planet. Living in New York City doesn’t exactly help for that matter, every night you have something happening, somewhere to shoot, somewhere to be; eventually though, you recover. And the time has finally come where I can look back at these 4 days - well nights actually - without remembering how deprived of sleep I was. With Music Journalist Jessica Suarez we toured the venues of the city for Pitchfork Media, jumping from concert to concert. She was the one able to put words on my pictures. Photographs had to be sent for the next morning which set up a pretty serious pace - 9PM Shooting - 2 AM Processing - 4 AM Sleeping - 8 AM waking up. Having already talked about how erractic the shooting and lighting conditions can be - The Good and Not So Good About CMJ - the following post is only gonna deal with pleasure. The pleasure of looking back at the photos that survived the riot. Enjoy my friends. I almost died for this - and got paid.
